Blume Cruz Suites

Calle de la Cruz is the smart address in the Sol orbit: two minutes from the plaza but angled toward Huertas, so evenings mean tapas crowds rather than souvenir-shop traffic. Blume's suites are the best-reviewed value in this set (9.2 over 350 stays, which is a deep enough sample to trust), with kitchens, laundry, breakfast if you want it, and a small spa, which nothing else this central offers at this price.
At around $130 a night in high season it undercuts Numa by a meaningful margin. The gap buys Numa a slightly higher rating and a newer fit-out; whether that's worth ~$47 a night is a fair question, and for most travelers we'd say the money stays in your pocket.
- ✓ You want the best rating-per-dollar in central Madrid
- ✓ A spa after a day of museums sounds right
- ✓ You'd rather be angled toward Huertas' tapas bars than Gran Vía
- ✗ You need a full second bedroom; these are suites, not flats
- ✗ Nightlife noise bothers you; Cruz gets lively on weekends
- ✗ You want brand-new everything (Numa's fit-out is fresher)
Blume Cruz Suites typically runs ≈ $130 / night (July). Live rates and availability are on Expedia.
