A 9.4 sustained over 727 reviews puts VP Madroño in the same elite score-to-sample club as Eric Vökel, and it's the only property in our Salamanca set with a real restaurant downstairs and outdoor space to sit in. Kitchens in the units, laundry service, breakfast done properly: this is the full-service reading of an aparthotel.
The El Madroño corner sits where Salamanca's grid softens toward the Retiro, which for most travelers is the best of the barrio: composed streets, park mornings, and Serrano's shopping ten minutes north. At ~$163 it undercuts Casa Faraona by $100 while out-sampling it 15-to-1. Our default Salamanca recommendation.
- ✓ You want Salamanca's best-proven stay at its fairest price
- ✓ A restaurant and terrace on site round out your evenings
- ✓ Park mornings + boulevard afternoons is your rhythm
- ✗ You want true luxury theater (Casa Faraona does the show)
- ✗ Serrano's shopping blocks at your door matter (Limehome is closer)
- ✗ You need in-unit washer-dryer rather than laundry service
VP Madroño typically runs ≈ $163 / night (July). Live rates and availability are on Expedia.
